POLYCARBONATE (PC)…

Polycarbonate is classified as an amorphous engineering thermoplastic because of its excellent balance of toughness, clarity and high heat deflection temperatures. Dimensional stability, excellent electrical properties, inherent ignition resistant characteristics and superior optical gloss are other outstanding properties making it ideal for electronic, electrical, and a major market for components and accessories. Outstanding high impact, durability and relative breakage resistance are other major characteristics.

It is available in a wide range of viscosities, unfilled, glass filled and flame retardant grades. It is dimensionally stable due to its high creep resistance, low water absorption and high resistance to UV-radiation and weathering.

It remains stable when exposed to normal environmental conditions.

It is best suited for domestic electrical equipment as it is very good insulator, virtually unbreakable – having metal like strength, heat resistant, corrosion resistant. lighter in weight and easier to mould.

POLYBUTYLENE TEREPHTHALATE (PBT)…

PBT is a semi crystalline, thermoplastic polyester. PBT has been long used in the industry where material high temperature resistance, chemical resistance, good electrical properties are important. PBT is used in many parts for resistance to harsh environments. PBT resins exhibit good resistance to most chemical solutions. At room temperature, PBT is unaffected by water, weak acids and weak bases, common organic solvents, greases and oils, and cleaning solutions.

Since PBT has low moisture absorption, its short-term physical properties are unaffected in high humidity environments. Also, unaffected by humidity are PBT’s electrical properties. PBT is available in a wide range of grades viz., unfilled, glass filled and flame retardant.

Its good electrical properties remain unaffected by the products operating environment. Metal replacement is an important factor in the market, so PBT’s strength and environmental resistance are important.

Several key properties have made PBT successful in the electrical market and it is best suited for our products.

POLYETHYLENE TEREPHTHALATE (PET)…

PET is a thermoplastic polyester engineering resin primary for injection molding. They are reinforced with glass fibers / flakes etc to improve property performance such as stiffness, strength and heat resistance. The chemical bond that forms between the PET polymer and the reinforcement such as glass fibers etc imparts enhanced strength, stiffness and heat-resistant properties.

Their broad range of mechanical and electrical properties make engineering grade PET resins ideal candidates for electrical applications where higher performance is required.

Today’s engineering grade PET resins offer a broad range of improved properties, including enhanced toughness and warpage control. It is strong and impact-resistant.

PET is available in variety of grades like unfilled, glass filled and also flame retardant, specially formulated. PET exhibits optimum properties and molding behavior.

Engineering-grade PET resins are ideally used in lamp sockets, lighting ballasts, electrical encapsulants, etc.

POLYAMIDE 6 / 66 (PA)…

Nylons or polyamides are melt-processable thermoplastics. They offer a combination of properties that includes high strength (especially at elevated temperatures), toughness at low temperatures, stiffness, wear and abrasion resistance, low coefficient of friction, and good chemical resistance. Nylons offer the most favorable combination of electrical, mechanical, chemical and insulation properties and processability. Polyamides are flexible and virtually unbreakable with a good temperature range due to heat aging stabilization. Great impact resistance and high breakdown strength are a good advantage. It is adverse to microorganisms, bacteria, fungi, enzymes and termites. High resistance to aging and ultra violet light allows use in tropical climates and outdoors too. Resistance to all types of fuel, oil, grease and most common solvents such as mineral acids, saturated aliphatic hydrocarbons, chlorinated hydrocarbons, ketons, esters and alcohol is outstanding.

Special grades like glass filled and flame retardant have excellent mechanical strength, rigidity and hardness with higher resistance to influence of heat. Moisture absorption is to very limited degree.

Multi-faceted properties make Polyamides very much suitable to our line of products.

POLYPHENYLENE SULFIDE (PPS)…

It is a crystalline polymer exhibiting outstanding electrical properties, chemical resistance, thermal stability, dimensional stability and fire resistance. PPS’ extreme inertness towards organic solvents and inorganic salts and bases make for outstanding performance as a corrosion-resistant. PPS does not absorb water.

It has high viscosity properties and is characterized by better mechanical strength and higher melt properties. PPS holds its stiffness at high temperatures too. It is available in variety of grades like reinforcement fibers, flame retardant types and has high heat resistance. It has high strength and is ideal for electrical applications.

Copper Alloy …

Copper alloy strips EN CuZn30 / BS2870 CZ-106 is cartridge brass, a copper alloy containing about 30% Zinc. It possess an excellent combination of strength, ductility and conductivity. Extra spring temper cartridge brass can exceed 90 KSI 0.2% offset yield strength and can thus provide quite respectable contact forces albeit with limited formability.

This most popular brass has attractive properties for terminals, spring contacts and other connector connection components. It has good resistance to fresh water, neutral or alkaline saline solutions, organic compounds and atmosphere. It has high strength with better ductility and excellent cold forming properties.

Phosphor Bronze …

Phosphor Bronze strips EN CuSn6 / BS 2870 PB103 is 6% tin bronze distinguished by a very good combination of strength and electrical conductivity. Its higher tin content imparts high strength and springiness to the metal. Its adequate conductivity makes it particularly interesting for high conductive current carrying spring contacts.

It is wear resistant, largely insensitive to stress corrosion cracking and can be readily soldered. This alloy is notable for its toughness, strength, low co-efficient of friction and fine grain.

Stainless Steel (SS 301)…

SS 301 AISI 301 is an austenitic chromium Nickel stainless steel capable of attaining high strength with moderate cold working. The combination of high strength and good ductility makes it suitable for numerous mechanical spring components. It is resistant to atmospheric corrosion and is additionally resistant to mildly corrosive mediums. The combination of narrow strength bands and close thickness tolerance is the key to repeatable response characteristic in spring applications. Chemical composition:
